Greek History

I want to tell you more about Greek history.

A king wears a crown.  A crown, that’s right.  Greeks like fancy clothing and they have ropes around their cloaks.   Greeks sometimes choose to wear gold and armor.

Now for the houses.  A house is very poor like a dirt floor, a fire, hay to sleep on, and a straw roof.

In Greek mythology, the earth came from a dark place called Chaos.  The earth was called Gaea.  The Greeks believed that the earth Gaea gave birth to the sky.  Then the earth and sky gave birth to twelve giants.  There was a lot of conflict between the earth, the sky, and the twelve giants.

One of the grandchildren was Zeus.  Zeus was armed with a thunderbolt.  He could change his shape.  He could be everywhere.  He was a protector of everything.
